2011 Kymco MXU 500 4x4 IRS

A more advanced version of the MXU 500, set to go on sale in Australia late November

Kymco has announced an addition to its local ATV line-up – the MXU 500 IRS.

Engineered for the “roughest of farming and extreme off-road performance”, the MXU 500 IRS incorporates a newly redesigned chassis with an anti-sway bar and independent front and rear suspension.

There’s a 498.5cc four-stroke, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with a high and low range transmission and selectable two and four-wheel drive.

The power is delivered via a CVT transmission and a sealed shaft final drive.

Towing capacity is 453kg, and it can carry a 10kg payload. There’s 225mm of ground clearance and a 17-litre fuel tank.

The MXU 500 IRS will be officially unveiled at the Melbourne Motorcycle Expo from November 26.-28.

For a limited time only, warranty is three years.
