2011 Japanese MotoGP moved
The recent devastation has forced a date switch for the world's premier road racing title, while Honda has announced a massive relief packageFollowing a request from the organiser after the tragic turn of events in Japan over the last week – the nation still holds its breath as one of its crippled nuclear reactors begins to spew out radiation -- the Japanese Grand Prix at Twin Ring Motegi (120 km north of Tokyo) has been shifted back from April 24 to October 2.

Meanwhile, following the earthquake and tsunami, Honda has suspended production at six of its motorcycle and car plants around Japan until March 20, and has also committed to providing the following aid:
- 300 million yen ($A3.75 million) towards the relief and recovery effort
- A total of 1000 generators (gasoline-powered and home-use gas canister-powered), along with 5000 gas canisters.
