2011 Honda Broadford Bike Bonanza
This year's event was officially launched in late January, with special guests regaling the gathering with historical insights and engineering heroismThe 2011 Honda Broadford Bike Bonanza (HBBB) is taking shape for another year, with the two-day historic festival on April 23-24 set to draws riders, spectators and enthusiasts from all over the country.
The official launch for this year’s HBBB was held on January 25 at the historic Tahbilk Winery in Nagambie (Vic), where a number of bikes displaying antipodean creativity were on display, including the Daytona-winning Irving Vincent built by the Horner Brothers, the Drysdale V8 and Carberry Enfield.
“It was astonishing to see so many phenomenal bikes on display and the day gave everyone a great taste of what’s to come at Easter!,” said event organiser Peter Drakeford.
“The engineers who put these bikes together embody true Anzac ingenuity and there is just so much interest in these amazing machines.
“We’ve had an unprecedented number of entries so far, and we’re anticipating the event will be much bigger than last year.”
A special guest at the launch was 11-time Isle of Man winner Bob Heath, who explained how he came to be the owner of one of the world’s most exotic Honda race bikes -- the ex-Mike Hailwood 350/4. There were a few twists in the tale, before he eventually handed over 170,000 pounds to take ownership of the racing exotica!
This year’s HBBB will also feature a gala dinner, grand parade, movie night, evening speedway meeting, motorcycle displays, special guests and bikes from Australia and overseas.

To ride (one or two days): $80
Recreational licence (required if you don’t have a current MA Competition or annual recreational licence): $20
Extra bikes: $10
Camping (any number of nights) $40 flat rate
Gala dinner tickets: $85
Spectators (one day): $25
