The 2011 range of Gas Gas trials bikes has been unmasked, with the Spanish marque really turning up the heat by fitting a number of items from its limited-edition 'TXT Racing Raga' machine onto the production tackle.
The 125, 250, 280 and 300cc two-strokers now all the feature the tubular cast frame; air box and exhaust from the Raga scapel, named in honour of its factory rider and two-time world champion Adam Raga.
The range has also been souped-up with a new white rear mudguard with integrated rear light; rear brake master cylinder and hose; lighter front wheel, and a larger diameter kickstart shaft.
The quartet runs a Dell’Orto carburetor, titanium front exhaust pipe, a Sachs shock, Marzocchi fork and Michelin tyres.
About the only aspect of the range that hasn’t changed is the ‘Pro’ engine, which was first introduced in 2002 and has been constantly updated since.
Accessories include a ‘stars’ cylinder head, where riders can actually change the head ‘insert’ for different compression ratios to suit different conditions and tastes; and a selection of Domino and X-Blok throttles to customise the power delivery.
The strong Australian dollar has allowed the importer (Gas Gas Motos Australia) to reduce the retail price over the 2010 models, and the 2011 bikes will set you back the following:
TXT PRO 125 $9350
TXT PRO 250 $9450
TXT PRO 280 $9550
TXT PRO 300 $9650
The 2011 range will go on sale in November.
