A reminder about BMW Motorrad Australia's 2011 off-road training courses, which will be held over four separate dates in October.
Designed to allow GS riders to get the most out of their steeds, some of the skills covered at the two-day course includes:
How to lift, balance and manoeuvre a motorcycle in awkward situations
Slow-speed manoeuvring and control
Correct body position/balance
Throttle and clutch control
Ascending and descending hills safely and confidently
Riding over/around obstacles
The courses have been specifically designed for riders of all levels, and all courses are conducted by Stay Upright Pty Ltd. The venues and dates are as follows:
NSW, Sydney, Dargle Valley (Lower Portland on the Hawkesbury River between Windsor and Wisemans Ferry). Dates – October 14-15 and October 16-17
Victoria, Werribee 4x4 proving ground. Dates – October 28-29 and October 30-31.
The course costs $685, and you must supply your own GS. And hurry, as there are only a handful of spots left.
