Motorcycling Australia has named the Senior and Junior Trophy teams for this year’s International Six Day Enduro (ISDE), to be held in Finland from August 8-13.
The teams are as follows:
Geoff Braico, Wahroonga, NSW
Toby Price, Singleton, NSW
Glenn Kearney, Tahmoor, NSW
Kirk Hutton, Kobble Creek, Qld
Matthew Phillips, Wynyard, Tas
Daniel Milner, Yannathan South, Vic
Ben Burrell, Cookamidgera, NSW
Mitcham Harper, Bright, Vic
Josh Ballard, Winmalee, NSW
Mitchell Bowen, Tea Gardens, NSW
There will be no reserve riders for either team.
Only Price, the reigning Australian off-road and enduro champion, Kearney and Hutton remain from the 2009 Senior Trophy team – Australia didn’t attend last year’s event in Mexico – while it’s an all-new Junior Trophy quartet that will compete in Finland, one of enduro racing’s true heartlands.
Australia is chasing its first podium finish since 1999 in the Senior Trophy. However, the junior posse has historically been more successful, winning in 1995 and finishing on the podium on three other occasions (1994/1998/2008).
