On top of the recently previewed 2010 model Kawasaki Z1000, news of the Japanese motorcycle manufacturers new 2010 Versys and GTR1400 models have come to light.
First the Versys: mechanically the bike hasn't been changed, but it's clear from the photography that Kawasaki has updated the look.
The middleweight all-rounder gets updated plastics around the front end, with a new look headlight cluster the biggest change which gives the bike a more modern appeal.
Stacked vertically, the front end design is a vast improvement on the outgoing model, and together with a redesigned radiator cowl the bike has a more determined overall appearance.
Kawasaki says it has worked on improving the finish of the Versys, and along with new mirrors and a revised front mudguard, the all-rounded gets new LED brake lights.
Mechanicals remain unchanged with carryover chassis and suspension from the previous Versys models, and the 649cc parallel twin-cylinder engine also makes a return, outputting around 62hp.
Kawasaki claims to have addressed vibrational issues on the bike, by adding things like revised footrests with hollow rubber inserts.
As a relaxed all-rounder, the 2010 Kawasaki Versys will be offered with a number of convenience accessories such as heated hand grips a 12 volt outlet and handguards.
Another updated model in the Kawasaki range is the 2010 GTR1400.
As well as a new design and heaps of new accessories, not to mention the company's second generation ABS system, the super-tourer is also Kawasaki's first motorcycle to use a proper traction control system.
We'll have full details on the thoroughly revised Kawasaki GTR1400 soon, so stay tuned for that one.
