2010 Aprilia Shiver 750

Italian bike maker comes clean with tech specs

As we reported in late 2009, Aprilia has updated its Shiver 750 nakedbike for 2010, taking to the design with scalpel rather than a hacksaw.

We had some rudimentary tidbits of information, but Aprilia has now released the full spec sheet for the new model.

The design has been altered somewhat for 2010, with an angular micro fairing (presumably for improved wind protection), new wave-style brake rotors and trick-looking rearsets.

The new Italian nakedbike also packs upside-down forks with 43mm stanchions at the front, and an aluminium-alloy swingarm (with stiffener brace) hooked up to a hydraulic shock absorber with adjustable rebound and preload.

Ergonomics have also been updated, with the major changes involving a 5mm reduction in the seat width, footpegs being moved back 5mm and the handlebars have been lowered to create a sportier, more aggressive rider posture.

Powered by the same 95hp V-twin engine displacing 750cc as its predecessor, the 2010 Aprilia Shiver's liquid cooled powerplant also has double overgaed cams. Other engine related bits include a fly-by-wire throttle plus switchable power output modes for rain, touring and sport riding. Here's the full spec list:
