2009 Honda CBR-RRs

ABS for both, and a few broader changes for the 600 too

In addition to the widely reported adoption of ABS as an option on its CBR600RR and CBR1000RRs, Honda has now released full details on its 2009 performance tackle.

The changes are not substantive, although big H is currently in a good place with both machines -  the CBR600RR continues to dominate the Superbike World Championship, while the CBR1000RR, all-new for 2008, has won awards all over the world, including the gong as Australian Motorcycle News' 'Motorcycle of the Year.'

In 2009, the CBR600RR has received the more significant makeover, with new bodywork, radial-mounted monoblock four-piston calipers, a more potent mid-range (up 3.5 percent on the 2008 model) and four new colours - black/red, white/red/blue/, black/lime green and a limited-edition white/electric blue (not available on the ABS version).

The CBR600RR received its last major update in 2007.

Aside from the ABS, the CBR1000RR gets Repsol Honda colours, as well as HRC tri-colour, blue and black.

The bikes, both standard and ABS, will go on sale early in the New Year, with pricing TBA.
