Supermoto racing has been struggling to gain traction in Australia over the last couple of years.
The gradual but inexorable slide for the tarmac/dirt hybrid is continuing, with this year’s championship to be a one-weekend, two-round decider at the Wanneroo International Kart Track (WA) from November 27-29. Only two years ago, the championship was held over six rounds.
To add some variety to proceedings, round two of this year's championship will be held in reverse direction.
In addition to the racing, the event will feature motorcycle demonstrations, trade displays, show-and-shine competitions, and other attractions.
The supplementary regulations and entry forms for the championship will shortly be available by clicking here.
KTM's Angus Reekie has won the S1 and S2 classes in the last two Aussie supermoto titles.
