2.5K drop for 2014 WR250R

Yamaha's ‘supertrail' machine is now better value than ever thanks a $2500 price reduction compared to the 2013 model

Yamaha Australia has reduced the retail price on its WR250R trail bike down to $7999 -- a massive $2500 less than the 2013 model.

The bike – in a niche segment which Yamaha calls ‘Supertrail’ -- has a fuel-injected and liquid-cooled four-stroke engine, with long service intervals – including 40,000km between valve checks. Yamaha claims fuel consumption of just over 3lt/100km.

The WR250R’s opposition includes the Honda CRF250L, Kawasaki KLX250S and the air-cooled Suzuki DR-Z250.
