$165,000 for MV Agusta F3 charity bike

UNICEF to benefit from gala auction of iconic Italian luxury brands

A custom MV Agusta F3 has sold for $165,000 at a charity auction in Sardinia.

The price is more than six times the recommended retail cost of the Italian-built machine.

The auction was part of the second annual UNICEF Summer Gala and included a number of unique works of art, including the bespoke F3.

The 800cc triple-cylinder machine was bought by an undisclosed MV collector.

MV Agusta chief executive, Timur Sardarov, said: “I am so happy our special F3 800 for UNICEF Italia found such a generous buyer.

“All our motorcycles are hand-crafted, and it takes an incredible amount of pride, passion and experience to manufacture one. This special one is unique, and to know it will serve a unique cause makes every woman and man involved in its production even prouder.

“I wish to thank UNICEF Italia for giving us this opportunity to support them in defending vulnerable children.”
