The Honda CBR650R is a four-cylinder middleweight sports bike that is smooth, fast and versatile. Filled with premium technology and convenience with the choice of riding with the Honda E-Clutch system. Packaged with race styling inspired by the Fireblade, CBR650R is ready to deliver performance perfect for your practical day-to-day ride and weekend fun.
The Honda E-Clutch opens up new possibilities of riding, from beginner rider to seasoned expert. It takes elements of the technology and performance of quickshifters, manually operated clutches and Honda?s unique Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) technology to create a unique blend of these well-proven approaches.
During the gear change, it uses a harmonised combination of ?half-clutch? operation, fuel injection cut and ignition control to eliminate ?shift shock? for an ultra-smooth ride. The clutch control itself is managed through an actuator unit similar to those used in Honda?s unique Dual Clutch Transmission gearboxes housed inside the engine cover. All you have to do is to use the throttle and change gears via the shift lever. If you want to use the clutch manually at any point, simply grab the clutch lever and use normally. And after a few seconds the E-Clutch technology is back on. Alternatively, turn off E-Clutch completely by using the 4-way left hand backlit toggle switch.
