Inspected, registration renewed, and all set to go for the coming year! Included: top box, board rack, and soft panniers - I've used many times to get to Botany Bay for kiteboarding.
This electric scooter has the larger battery with extended theoretical range 100km and top speed 80km/hr. There is a three-position power switch which make it easy to match posted speed limits - position 1 max 40km/hr for school zones; position two 60km/hr; position three 80km/hr with maximum acceleration. For optimal longevity, this battery has always been slow-charged and never left sitting below 50%. Most of the time it has been kept topped up. There are three options for charging battery - built-in socket in front of seat, socket built into battery, and battery can be removed. However, at 23kg the battery is not something you want to carry up steps unless you're looking for a workout.
Work / replacements from most recent: fork seals (replaced during inspection), turn signal switch, mirrors, instrument panel, charge socket below seat (used most frequently) - overall maintenance has been much less expensive than a petrol-powered bike. Brakes are good - passed inspection, and all body parts are in great shape.
