When I first bought my Harley some 20 years ago, I hummed and harred at the time between a Softail and a GS 1150 as it was then. The heart won out over the head. Then my mate bought this GS new, and I was almost green with envy. He had it for some years and decided it was too big for him, so he offered it to me. No brainer! So, I sold the Harley and bought the 1200 and my mate bought a smaller BMW. We still ride together.
The point of all this is that I have known this bike since it was bought, first as the on looker and then as the owner. It has been treated well by both of us and has a full-service history available. Neither of us have had any issues with it whatsoever – it is one reliable machine, to say nothing of the fun I have had on it. It had its last service in September 2025, and a new drive shaft was installed.
It is a fully kitted out GS 1200 (electronically selected ride modes, suspension, etc.) and its only done just over 16,000 kms, all on bitumen – like I said, I have known this bike inside out since new. Its also got a touch screen GPS and I have a large Puig screen and the trickle charger, both of which will go with the bike.
There is 4 months rego on the bike.
So, why am I selling it? I want something different. Specifically, I want an inline four, so I am currently looking at my options.
Over to you now.
