Ultra Rare 2009 Yamaha MT 01 SP – Build #0002
A genuine collector’s motorcycle, this 2009 MT 01 SP is build number 0002, with matching VIN and documentation. Originally owned by a Yamaha collector, it has spent most of its life on display and presents in near showroom condition with just under 6,000 km.
The SP model was produced in very limited numbers and features Öhlins suspension, Pirelli Diablo Rosso tyres (OEM), and the distinctive red/white SP livery. SP #0001 is believed to be in Japan, making this an exceptionally rare example.
Recently serviced due to extended storage: fork seals replaced, new tyres fitted, all fluids changed.
Powered by a massive 1690cc V twin, the MT 01 delivers 150 Nm of torque at 3,750 rpm. This is not a high revving sport bike, but a torque rich machine that pulls hard in any gear and offers surprisingly capable handling through the twisties.
Originally shown as a concept at the 1999 Tokyo Motor Show, public demand pushed Yamaha into production, with the SP released in 2009 as the ultimate factory version. A unique opportunity to own one of the rarest MT 01s produced.
