2nd Owner, bought straight after my zxr-250, most wouldn’t recommend going from a learner bike to a 1000cc.
I’ve owned her for over a decade, first owner only put ~1k on the clock. Genuinely sad to sell, will eventually be back on a high-capacity sports bike.
Taken it to Phillip Island a few times, 2 superbike schools and 1 track day. Great fun but not ridden overly hard.
At around 12,000k (2011) a car did an illegal U-turn in front of me, my bar end hit the side of the car, and I dropped the bike, the damage (all cosmetic) was enough for the bike to be repairable write-off. I purchased the bike back from the insurer, bought new fairings/bar ends/levers, went through the process (VIV inspection) and got the bike re-registered. Part of having a previously written-off vehicle is I need to let the new owner know.
Clutch cable replaced a few years ago, spark plugs replaced this year. At 50,000k had front brake master cylinder serviced + new chain/sprockets and a new battery.
Shouldn’t need any maintenance till 60,000k.
