For Sale: 2006 Honda Goldwing GL1800A Tourer, 'Ali-Lite' Touring Trailer and plus Heavy Duty GL1800 Specific Lifter. Had to get the lifter as I've been maintaining this fabulous machine for fourteen years, here at Tumut NSW.
I'm the third owner and have owned and serviced this machine myself (other than one dealer recall a number of years ago ,re: overheating rear brakes - The recall was completed by the Canberra Honda Motorcycle Centre.
The Bike:
- Has full NSW registration which will be due on 2nd Sept 2026.
- Happy to provide a RWC with sale for bike.
- Bike alway garaged and covered when stored.
- Fitted with additional Boot Rack and Spoiler with additional tail, brake and indicator LEDs.
- Fitted with the standard side case crash bars onto which highway footpegs have been mounted.
- Fitted Scorpio Alarm/Immobiliser with a supplied Monitoring Remote Control.
- The standard Central Locking, FM Radio, six Stacker CD with iPod/phone input is there, but I never used the stacker or - - interface so trust they are both still working ok?! The intercom system, although fitted was never used, so unsure if functions ok. My wife and I used bluetooth devices built into our helmets to communicate.
- Dual Headlight Protectors, although protectors are not fitted to the fog lights.
- Heated seats, handgrips and rider foot heaters as standard are fitted.
- All rubber is almost at almost 100% as rarely ridden far since tyres fitted. A spare rear wheel with new tyre is all part of this package. It has also new and has never been used on the bike.
- Lambswool Seat covers and back rests make for a comfy ride so were fitted and recently cleaned and re-fitted to seats.
- Has a CTEK battery charging / maintainer connector in right hand side pannier, fused near battery,
- Font wheel Chrome Wheel Covers.
- Tow bar, 50mm tow ball and cover, with seven pin flat trailer electrical connector fitted for towing trailer.
- Duco is fantastic for the age of the bike, as it has pent a lot of time covered over recent years.
- All filters and fluids replaced towards the end of 2025. (engine, rear drive, clutch, brakes, anti dive, forks and coolant. - - - The air cleaner was inspected and was ok, so wasn't replaced. Fork seals and brake pads were also replaced at this time.
- Starter motor failed in 2024 and was replaced at that time! What a job!!
- This bike does have ABS brakes, the advert specs state they are optional for 2006 models!
- All removed OEM parts swapped out over the last fourteen years, of any value will also be part of this sale.
- Also included will be a Factory Owner's Manual, a bit worse for wear but all the pages are still there!
- Bike Covers you can have also, as I won't be needing them again!
- This bike is currently comprehensively insured with Shannons for $19,000 for $600...
Ali-Lite Trailer:
- Also has full NSW registration which will be also due on 2nd Sept 2026.
- No Registration Inspection is required at registration so a RWC will not be provided for this trailer.
- Wheel bearings have been checked and re-packed with grease and tyres were replaced with 6ply roadies late 2025
The Bike Lifter:
- The final photograph, show the lifter in action. Manufactured in the USA by www.jsjmotorcyclejacks.com and purchased from an Australian distributor almost fourteen years ago. Sadly, researching this company recently, I have found they are no longer in business. I did have to replace and modify the hydraulic jack, two years ago due to a faulty seal.
That's it!! That's all I have! Apologies fro bragging about my setup. I am now approaching 72 years and I have been putting off selling my Goldwing GL1800 for the few years , but it is just too big and heavy for me now!
