For those who know what they are looking at it’s a genuine wide glide 1450.
Nothing at all done to the motor except a cam which everyone does. She sounds like a galloping horse at idle and has a period perfect set of matching short shot pipes.
Like all unmolested 1450’s it has more torque than a farmers tractor and would pull a road train out of a river.
It steers and stops exactly like a long raked out and wide harley does! (F@$king horribly) if you want a steering and stopping bike you should look at a sports bike really.
Forward controls and T bar type handle bars with a really cool looking seat.
I think it’s super comfy to ride but I’m about the same height as my width and sit comfortably at a cuddly 95kg.
If you don’t think it’s comfy or it’s too loud or too masculine then I’ve got the original super padded seat, another set of wider T bars and a set of ape hangers as well as the original screaming eagle exhaust system.
It’s pretty clean except the front wheel spokes are surface rusty and she needs at least a front tyre and possibly a rear.
It has Ned Kelly air brushing on it and some barbed wire and things so if your a patriotic Aussie that likes outlaws you’ll love ya some of that sort of stuff. If you don’t like ned Kelly you might belong in a solicitor office or a dental surgery or something.
If I get what I’m asking for I’ll change both tyres to new ones and supply a roady as well as a new battery I rekon.
It was last roadworthy passed at antique motorcycles with no drama.
The neutral light doesn’t light up. Don’t know why and I tried things to fix it but couldn’t figure it out so I poured a whiskey and that’s the last I thought about it.
There’s nothing else really to talk about with it, it has been ridden, and has marks here and there but nothing worth talking about.
It really hasn’t been ridden regularly for a year and I’ve owned it for at least 10 years as a weekend cruiser so it’s time for her to go to her new chapter in life.
The new owner will be as happy as a kid in a Lolly shop with her and have a reliable old girl that sounds better than anything built in the last 20 years.
