Overview Limited edition: Only 400 units produced globally to commemorate Troy Bayliss’ 2001 WSBK title. Based on the 998S, itself an upgraded version of the standard 998 with higher-spec components. Features special Bayliss race-replica livery, making it instantly recognizable and highly collectible. ?? Engine & Performance Powered by the new-for-2002 Testastretta engine, producing 123 hp, which is 11 hp more than the previous 996. 998cc L-twin with strong midrange and classic Ducati character. The Testastretta engine was a major leap forward in Ducati’s superbike evolution. ??? Chassis & Components The Bayliss edition received several upgrades over the standard 998S: Suspension Öhlins forks (upgrade over the S model’s Showa units). Öhlins rear shock and steering damper. Brakes Upgraded Brembo four-pot front calipers for improved stopping power. Bodywork Additional carbon-fiber components, including belly pan and other trim pieces. Custom Troy Bayliss livery inspired by his 2001 WSBK championship bike. ??
