I've really enjoyed riding the 748R for over 17 years, but it's time to move on to new motorcycling adventures.
The bike performs well, especially due to a tune & chip for the Silmotor mufflers, eliminating the usual flat spot down low, and making for a glorious top end.
I've recently had major work done to ensure reliability and performance for many years to come, including:
- New belts
- Replaced all water hoses - preventative only.
- New throttle cable
- Major service , including valve clearances
- New clutch basket
Included with the bike is a rear stand, and box of spares including:
- manuals
- 1 x rear view mirror
- side stand
- spare set of pre-oiled unifilters to make for easy air filter changes
- original tool pouch/tools
- screen
- 1 x front fairing bracket
- new rear sprokets
- 1 x front blinker
- tank bag in matching yellow
- original mufflers & mounts
- new left hand switch block - current one works fine although missing part of headlight switch.
- ride height adjuster
- spare key
- folder of service records (from Gowanloch Motorcycles) since the first service in my ownership at July 2008.
- various small fittings, etc.
There's several places where the 748R shows its APPROX. 60,000km, and 25 years of riding, such as small scratches on the fairing, RH front fork, and the frame - all are cosmetic.
This is my 4th Ducati, and as with the 3 previous ones, I know I'll regret parting with it, so I'm not in any particular rush to sell, so please no low offers. Rego to Feb 27. KMs will go up a little as I ridie the bike occassionally.
