Offered for sale is what is likely one of the finest examples of a BMW R1200C you will ever find.
Finished in the iconic cream “James Bond” colour, this bike absolutely gorgeous and presents as new, if not better. After years searching for the right example, I found a fantastic low kilometre example that most would be happy with, but wanting perfection, I then painstakingly restored and improved this example to an exceptional standard that you see offered today.
Mechanically it is flawless with just 13,800km. It runs and rides absolutely perfectly with no faults to report. Recent work includes:
• New brake pads (front & rear)
• All fluids replaced (engine, gearbox, differential, forks, brakes)
• Diff was professionally re-shimmed to eliminate the common backlash clunk
• New battery (late last year)
• Near-new Pirelli Route tyres (~500km)
This bike is also fitted with the desirable Öhlins rear shock upgrade, which results in a dream ride quality. As I couldn’t bare having a mismatched yellow Öhlins spring, I have had both front and rear springs powder coated in white for an OEM+ look that keeps the bike looking classy
It rides beautifully, tight, smooth and exactly as it should.
Cosmetically, the bike is outstanding. All chrome/bright work is is amazing condition, and the wheels have been professionally polished and rebuilt with stainless spokes after removing the problematic factory chrome. Every single bolt has been replaced with stainless equivalents. Hubs, subframe and swingarm have been refinished in beautiful high-gloss finish matching OEM silver, but has a vastly superior lustre. Its a small detail that has brought this example to another level.
To top it all off, the seat and saddlebags have been re-upholstered in premium cinnamon leather. This beautifully complements the cream colour scheme, and the finish and quality of leather is far greater than OEM.
This is not just a clean R1200C, it’s a carefully restored, collector-quality example that would be very difficult to replicate. It is absolute perfection, so if your looking for one, you will not find an example better than this.
