1995 was the last year that BMW produced the 'airhead' and it was the only year that the R 100 GS Paris Dakar Classic model was produced. The 'Classic' designation included Avus Black finish with silver graphics, chrome touring case mounts, chromed engine and tank guards, as well as the 'classic' round valve covers.
The bike is in very good used condition with what to me looks like original paint and decals. It is by no means concourse, with signs and wear from normal use. The odometer currently reads about 21,200 kms, however I suspect that it may have been 'around the clock'. I purchased it in 2016 with 19,855 kms on it, as kids and work got in the way of my around-Australia adventure. The bike runs and rides well.
The 1995 R 100 GSPD Classic represented the last of BMW’s super-simple carburetted airheads, and this example looks to be very original. In my ownership, I fitted the aftermarket headlight kit, which is a no-modification 'drop-in'. I have retained the original headlight so it can be returned to original if desired. I also purchased the new OEM single seat currently fitted, with the original dual seat included in the sale. The original rear panniers are included, but not the leather tool pouch in the photos.
The bike is not currently registered and is being sold without a RWC. Happy to answer questions and provide additional photos.
