For sale is a 1993 Ducati Monster with 26,542 km on the odometer. The bike is number 2768 from the first year of production and was a used import from Japan. This Ducati has a lot of period carbon parts - a pair of carbon Arrow silencers, carbon front guard, carbon hugger and carbon clutch cover. The tank and pillion seat cover have been custom painted in black with two gunmetal stripes and the GIO.CA.MOTO name on the tank, which was Ducati's official custom parts provider in the early 90s when the bike was delivered. The Japanese Ducati dealer's decal was incorporated in the custom tank paintwork. Together this gives the bike the special look of a bike customised from new by the dealer to give the first owner a unique, head-turning machine. The bike has not been restored and has a great look that is consistent with its age and mileage. Unfortunately the tank has a dent above the left hand name, about 5cm in diameter, and there is a chip in the tank paint to the left of the tank cap. Please see the photos for details of these. The bike runs well but would benefit from carburetors being cleaned and the rear shock bump stop being replaced. The engine has fresh oil and filter but timing belt replacement is due. The bike has been registered in Queensland and also comes with a pair of stock silencers to make it easier to get a roadworthiness certificate. There is also a pair of hoses and a valve cover with bracket so the oil cooler can be mounted below the engine for a different look.
