A rare factory original 1989 Ducati Strada monoposto (factory single seat) Australian delivered.
Only ~750 monoposto were reported to have been made over the course of 851 Strada model, as most 851 examples ordered with dual seat (Bi-posto). Collectors and brokers are suggesting good example 851's are becoming unicorns (see link)

With ultra low original 13,930 km's this motorcycle is in immaculate, original condition, just as it came out of the Bologna factory - an investment grade 851 for Ducati purists and collectors, or someone that wants to experience an original late 80's super bike (without the rider aids). I am the second owner.
All original paint on every component, original exhaust, original brake rotors/pads, original sprockets and chain, and all body work is factory original as is switch gear and instruments. This bike has always been stored under a bike cover and garaged, used for weekend rides. Never on a race track.
This motorcycle runs very well, idles smoothly with the factory Weber-Marelli electronic fuel injection system that was directly adapted from Ferrari’s Formula One racing program. The fueling is excellent and the bike handles very well with original suspension. Well maintained with fork seals and fork oil replaced in the last 6 months, timing belts and fuel hoses replaced 1,000km ago, oil and filters changed regularly,
The 851 is a highly significant model which saved Ducati by winning the World Superbike championships 1990, 91 and 92, The 851 has great heart and soul, offering a raw and engaging experience compared with later model Ducati road bikes.
