Happy 50th Birthday to this 1975 GL1000 Goldwing.
A true naked superbike of its era…conceived and built well before Honda added tons of faired plastic and massive suitcase size panniers plus a multitude of luxury modcons.
It’s gorgeous to look at….previous owner has done a first class restoration and has brought about a real cafe racer presence to this absolute classic.
I haven’t ridden it much in my 4 years of ownership…age and a bad back is catching up with me.
I’m moving to Tassie shortly and she (the bike that is) ain’t gunna be joining me!
The fuel has gone off…so needs a flush and possibly a carby clean and tune… the clutch is heavy…could use lighter clutch springs I reckon….but there’s nothing there that some enthusiastic younger tech savvy owner couldn’t resolve.
It’s got 3 months ACT rego …. (31/12) …Specific mileage is unknown….
Looking for $10,500 ono….compare the rest on the market …it’s a lot of bike….and is certainly an eye catching classic.
My wife won’t let me keep it as an art piece. Damn!! Would have looked great mounted on the wall of my man cave…!!

UPDATE: SHITTY PETROL DRAINED…CARBIES HAVE BEEN REMOVED & ABOUT TO BE DEGUMMED…(UPDATE..JOBS NOW DONE)with a brand new set of set of needles and seats plus gaskets…will add a video showing it running when the jobs done….meantime if your dreaming or tyre kicking…stake your claim now…I’ve been offered $8k yesterday…but I know it’s worth more than that!!😉⭐️👍
BUY IT NOW….as I’ll be going for a ride next week after this weeks refurbishment…and I just may jack up the price if the bike justifies the extra dollars that I’ve spent in the past couple of weeks!!😀👍🏍️
