1974 Mark 3 Ducati 450 cc.
My bike isn't the Desmo sports model but shares many of the same features. In 1974 Ducati were coming to the end of their productions of singles. The final run in 1974 were the best, just when the company got it right, they ceased production. The Mark 3 didn't sell well in Australia, and I believe that only 8 were imported into NSW. Being part of such limited numbers make the 450 Mark 3 rather unique.
I've up graded the wheels having new Boroni rims fitted, I do have the original steel rims, if required. The bike also has a stainless-steel Conti muffler, as opposed to the original Silentium. Recently, serviced by Belt & Bevel adding a set of Italian clip-on bars and a Veglia tachometer. I have the original bars, if this is wanted. Ducati experts will tell me that it is not original, yet others wanted a set of clip-on bars on the bike. Unfortunately. ill health has ended my riding.
I believe that the Mark 3 is a very pleasant and rare machine and would suit someone looking for a single at a reasonable price.
