This bike was restored by my father around 11 years ago and has hardly been ridden since. He restored the bike including a full repaint, re-chrome etc and during that process customised it to be a more cafe racer style. Bike has the sort after twin filler fuel tank fitted as original.
I rebuilt the engine this year (2025) prior to listing and replaced the piston rings, all internal bearings, conrod and conrod bearings, all new gaskets were used during the rebuild. All bearing in the cylinder head were replaced and with the help of a very kind friend all the bevel gears were shimed to get the correct engagement - further all valve clearances were checked and adjusted as needed. Engine has the Dell'Orto SS1 Carburettor fitted and I have found it rides and runs well for the short tests it has had. Engine has gear gazer fitted on the head hence taco is not connected.
**Please note - This engine is not a Desmo, it is a springer.**
During restoration the front wheel was rebuilt using a 4 leading shoe drum brake with a much larger diameter than the original and it works well.
Electrics work fine with all required lights and horn working.
The bike was registered on club plates but has since lapsed.
