Comments from the seller

One of the most desirable and collectable vintage Triumphs, this is a rare 1965 TT Special desert sled built for off road, speedway and flat track racing (but now street legal). The ad says 66 but the bike is a genuine 1965 T120C TT Special with matching numbers, a highly prized ARD belt drive casing with Fairbanks Morse magneto, alloy Akront rims, Amal carbs and original wide race bars. . TT Specials were built with higher compression and is beautiful to ride, running '71 front forks with Norton progressive springs and a vented twin leading shoe hub for better braking. The TT Special race pipes (with detachable mufflers) give the bike a great note. It's currently set up for street riding with a low profile LED light and speedo but I have a load of the old parts including the original fenders, rear hoop and tail light, period headlight and fork springs etc. The bike has been on full NSW rego but is now on historic plates. I bought the bike from a museum in WA 20+ years ago and restored it with extensive work done by a vintage Triumph specialist. The motor has just been thoroughly prepped and tuned by master British bike builder, Norm. The carbs were just rebuilt along fuel lines and the magneto. This is a super rare, appreciating investment and awesome to ride.
