Owned by an enthusiast, looking for a fellow enthusiast who will appreciate what they're buying, this 1957 BSA A10 650cc Golden Flash is in an immaculate showroom condition. It was fully restored in 2020 - 2021, and I brought it with me when I emigrated to Australia from my home town of Birmingham, in the UK - the place that the bike was built in the BSA factory, back in 1957.
My Dad had a 1954 model of this bike (long before I was a twinkle in his eye) and I wanted to own one in remembrance of my Dad, after he died. I'm lucky enough to have another classic that I ride, so because this arrived in the country in such a beautiful condition, it has only been ridden occasionally and currently it is on display in the wonderful Panorama Motorcycle Museum, Roadvale. This Bert Hopwood designed 650cc parallel twin model was built between 1950 and 1963, and by the time this bike was built, BSA was the biggest motorcycle manufacturer in the world; and 1 in 4 motorcycles made anywhere had a BSA badge.
These twin-cylinder 'Gold Flashes' are easily maintained, simple to service and reliable to ride, so they make a perfect 'usable' classic that can run all day. This is just the time of the year to own a genuine British classic, and get on the road!
Registered as an historic vehicle for rego purposes, it is certified for authenticity by the BSA Owners Club of Queensland and has an agreed valuation for insurance purposes at this price, so serious enquiries and sensible offers only, please.
All paperwork is available regarding its UK registration, the bike's import documentation and its Australian roadworthy condition.
Happy to arrange a roadworthy and service for a genuine buyer, to get you riding straight away.
