This is a unique motorcyle meticulously and lovingly restored by my late father over many decades, recreating a bike he rode as a young man in western Victoria in the 1950s. The journey started when a childhood friend acquired a frame and Thunderbird engine and began sourcing parts globally. When he died in 1996 my father picked up the job, and the restoration was finally completed in 2020 as his health deteriorated. He passed away the following year - so he saw it finished but was never able to ride it. The bike been stored indoors since and has less than 1km on the odometer. This is the iconic bike ridden by Marlon Brando in The Wild One. When it was released in 1950, Triumph's first parallel twin 650cc was instantly one of the fastest bikes on the market - launched by three Thunderbirds lapping the Montlhéry circuit in France at over 90mph for 500 miles, followed by a flying lap of 100mph-plus. A model for a true bike lover.
