1987 FLHTC. Imported from San Francisco a couple of years ago. Unlike many other Harleys, this one was Roadworthy’d, gained the necessary VASS certificate, and registered. (Expires 18 April, 2014) Original KMS on the bike before rebuild with the parts detailed below was about 80K (miles). I fitted a new Kms/ Hr speedo which now shows about 1350 kms- the total amount I have ridden the bike since bringing it into the country, and also my reason for selling- I simply don’t ride it enough to justify keeping it.
The bike runs and stops well, and is very comfortable. Chrome all round is excellent. Original ’87 paint apart from the panniers, which have been resprayed classic white. Paint is generally pretty good, with the odd scratch and nick here and there. Paint on the batwing fairing is cracking near the windscreen mounting bolts. The solo seat fitted at present is an altered and lowered road king item.
Improvements to the bike include: Lower tinted screen, mechless stereo, electronic indicator module (no need to keep indictor switch pressed), 1 year old Harley battery, Progressive Suspension rear shocks, 2005 front end with twin 4 pot caliper brakes, Screaming Eagle heads and an S & S Super B carby with a Thunderjet fitted. The previous owner also said it had a 93 cubic inch kit, a barnet heavy duty clutch, and new primary chain and shock absorber. I cannot verify these items without stripping the bike, but have no reason to doubt him.
Included with the bike are a genuine Harley battery tender, a HD workshop manual, a Thunderheader exhaust system with full chrome cover set, original as new dual seat, and king tour pack and original clear screen.
