One of Honda's showcase models for the 2009 Tokyo motor show, the CB1100, has broken cover

It's not supposed to be revealed until mid October at the Tokyo motor show, but images of the new Honda CB1100 have been leaked.

The production model CB1100 remains faithful to the concept bike that was first seen at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show, albeit with new wheels and a few less flamboyant 'show' details.

Though information on the new Honda CB1100 is still being kept under wraps, four-pot Nissin brake calipers can be seen in the photos and the bike will probably be available with ABS.

A new café racer (named the CB1100 Customize Concept) will be exhibited alongside the CB1100 and is expected to generate a lot of buzz for Honda.

If response to the CB1100 Customize Concept is highly positive, we could even see a production model - or perhaps retrofit parts for the standard CB1100.

Stay tuned for more news from the 2009 Tokyo motor show.
